Transparent, open and spacious – these were the design aims for an urban area on Plan Street.

In front of the local council building, a water curtain hangs into a water surface, helping to close off traffic noise and create an atmosphere space for cosy seating areas. A water runnel picks up and continues the water theme on the other side of the street.

On the square itself, citizens are helping develop seating and mosaic paving inlays to be scattered throughout the space. The decision not to have pavements but have one continuous paving strengthens the unity of the urban square character of the site.
